FRIDAY (JUNE 29)

Chris Anderson and his BFMS Chess Team will sponsor a challenge to anyone who likes to play chess from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Franklin County Library. For more information, call 483-3098.

SATURDAY (JUNE 30)

The first annual Franklin County Strings & Spirits Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Springhouse Lane off Grassy Hill Road.

The Redwood Community Center will host a dance from 7:30 to 11 p.m. with music by the Dry Hill Draggers.

There will be a Stop the Violence event with former FCHS basketball players playing in the Franklin County High School Central Gym at 6 p.m. Cost is $5 with entertainment by DJ Joe.

The Oak Level Ruritan Club will have its ham & egg breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Proceeds go toward the college scholarship program and community services.

TUESDAY (JULY 3)

SATURDAY (JULY 7)

The Redwood Community Center will host a community cook-out from 4 to 7:30 p.m. and a dance from 7:30 to 11 p.m. This event is free.
